Parking is available at the Post Office. Please reserve parking spots close to the door for Post Office patrons. Additional parking is available on Western Avenue across Dundee.

Somme Prairie Grove
Enter on foot at the northwest corner of Waukegan Road and Dundee Road, after parking at the Somme Woods lot at this address:

The parking lot is located on the north side of Dundee Road (Route 68), just east of Waukegan Road (Route 43).
If you’re joining us for an event, a volunteer leader will meet you at the Somme Woods parking lot at the advertised start time.
If you’re enjoying a hike on your own, notice the “Somme Prairie Grove” kiosk on the left as you drive in, and, behind it, a path. Walk down that path and follow the Somme Prairie Grove trail sign. Walk for one minute to the street corner of Dundee and Waukegan, where you can cross at the light, and enter the path system by the preserve signs.

Somme Woods has a large parking lot. In the winter, a portion of the lot may be closed, but the preserve remains open.

Train
Take a Fox Lake, Deerfield or Grayslake (Milwaukee District North Line) train to Northbrook. Walk 1 mile north on Meadow Road to the Somme Prairie Grove trail system. Click here for map directions.
